Description
Apple Iced Tea is a refreshingly unique summer drink that combines the flavors of black tea, apple cider, and maple syrup, garnished with fresh apple slices and cinnamon sticks.
Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 4 bags of black tea
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1/4 cup maple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced apples
- Ice cubes
- Cinnamon sticks (for garnish)
Instructions
- Start by boiling 2 cups of water in a medium pot. Once it reaches a rolling boil, take it off the heat and immerse the black tea bags. Let them steep for about 5 minutes, then carefully remove the bags.
- Mix in the apple cider, maple syrup, and nutmeg, stirring until everything is well blended. Set the mixture aside to cool down to room temperature.
- After it has cooled, transfer the tea to the refrigerator and chill for at least an hour.
- When ready to serve, fill your glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled apple brew over the ice.
- Finish off with a few slices of fresh apple and a cinnamon stick in each glass for a delightful presentation.
Notes
- For a festive twist, consider adding a splash of ginger ale right before serving for some fizz.
- Enhance the flavor by incorporating a dash of vanilla extract or trying different sweeteners like agave syrup for a unique taste.
