A delicious and easy recipe for crispy shrimp made in an air fryer, perfect for a quick meal or appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
- Cooking spray or olive oil spray
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
- In a shallow bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- In a second shallow bowl, beat the eggs.
- In a third shallow bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
- Dredge each shrimp in the flour mixture, shaking off excess, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Arrange the breaded shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
- Cook in the air fryer for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For added flavor, try mixing some grated Parmesan cheese into the breadcrumbs.
- You can also substitute the shrimp with chicken tenders for a different protein option.
