Description
Lemon Garlic Butter Salmon delivers mouthwatering flavor with a perfect blend of lemon, garlic, and herbs.
Ingredients
- 4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon dried dill (or 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped)
- Sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a medium skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and cook for about 1 minute, stirring frequently until it becomes aromatic, but be cautious not to let it brown.
- Take the skillet off the heat and mix in the lemon juice, lemon zest, dill, sea salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Arrange the salmon fillets, skin-side down, in a greased baking dish. Drizzle the lemon herb butter mixture generously over each fillet.
- Bake the salmon in the oven for 12-15 minutes, or until it is opaque and flakes easily with a fork, reaching an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Once cooked, allow the salmon to rest for a few minutes before serving. Accompany with lemon wedges for an extra burst of flavor.
Notes
- For best results, use fresh herbs if available.
- Adjust the seasoning according to your taste preference.
- Serve with a side of vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
