Description
A zesty and flavorful oven-baked salmon dish infused with lemon and garlic.
Ingredients
- 2 (6-ounce) salmon fillets
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- Lemon wedges, for decoration
- Chopped fresh parsley, for topping
Instructions
- Begin by heating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or giving it a light coat of cooking spray.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, chopped garlic, oregano, sea salt, and black pepper, stirring until well blended.
- Position the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet with the skin facing down. Generously drizzle the lemon-garlic mixture over the fillets, ensuring they are well coated.
- Top each fillet with lemon wedges to enhance the flavor and presentation.
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for approximately 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is tender and flakes easily when tested with a fork.
- Once done, take the salmon out of the oven and allow it to rest for a few moments. Finish by sprinkling fresh parsley on top before serving.
Notes
- For an extra layer of heat, consider mixing in a dash of red pepper flakes with the lemon-garlic blend.
- Pair this dish with a side of roasted veggies or a crisp salad for a well-rounded meal.
