Description
Strawberry Agua Fresca is a refreshing summer drink made with fresh strawberries, water, and a hint of lime, perfect for hot days.
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 4 cups cold water
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- Ice cubes
- Lime slices and whole strawberries for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries, 2 cups of cold water, and sugar. Blend until smooth.
- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove the seeds and pulp.
- Add the remaining 2 cups of cold water and the lime juice to the pitcher. Stir well to combine.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more sugar.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Serve over ice and garnish with lime slices and whole strawberries if desired.
Notes
- For a refreshing twist, add a handful of fresh mint leaves to the blender with the strawberries.
- Substitute agave syrup or honey for sugar for a different sweetness profile.
