Description

Strawberry Agua Fresca is a refreshing summer drink made with fresh strawberries, water, and a hint of lime, perfect for hot days.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime slices and whole strawberries for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries, 2 cups of cold water, and sugar. Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove the seeds and pulp.
  3. Add the remaining 2 cups of cold water and the lime juice to the pitcher. Stir well to combine.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more sugar.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  6. Serve over ice and garnish with lime slices and whole strawberries if desired.

Notes

  • For a refreshing twist, add a handful of fresh mint leaves to the blender with the strawberries.
  • Substitute agave syrup or honey for sugar for a different sweetness profile.
