Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter with 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat until hot and shimmering, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Once the oil and butter are hot, add 4-5 cloves of finely chopped fresh garlic to the pan. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until the garlic turns golden and fragrant.
  3. Reduce the heat to low, then slowly pour in 1 cup of heavy cream, stirring gently to combine. Allow the mixture to heat through, simmering for about 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  4. Stir in 1 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese, continuing to mix until the cheese melts completely and the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
  5. Add salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste, stirring to combine.
  6. Remove the saucepan from heat and let the sauce sit for a minute before serving.
