  • 1 large Onion sauté until translucent
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger fresh, grated
For the Curry Base
  • 4 tablespoons Curry Powder consider Japanese curry blocks
For Thickening (Optional)
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch mix with water to thicken

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Sauté the base: Heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions, minced garlic, and grated ginger, stirring frequently for 5–7 minutes until translucent.
  2. Brown the beef: Increase to medium-high heat and add bite-sized chunks of beef chuck. Sear for 5–7 minutes until browned.
  3. Add vegetables: Once the beef is browned, add chopped carrots and potatoes. Cook for 3–4 minutes.
  4. Spice it up: Sprinkle in curry powder, stirring for 1–2 minutes to enhance flavors.
  5. Simmer: Pour in beef broth to cover, add soy sauce, bring to boil, then simmer on low for 60 minutes.
  6. Thicken (optional): Mix cornstarch with water and add during the last 10 minutes for thickness.
  7. Serve: Ladle over rice, noodles, or preferred side. Garnish and enjoy!
