Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice freshly squeezed
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish optional

Method
 

  1. In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries, 2 cups of cold water, and granulated sugar. Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove the seeds and pulp. Use a spatula to help push the liquid through.
  3. Add the remaining 2 cups of cold water and the lime juice to the pitcher. Stir well to combine.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more sugar or lime juice.
  5. Serve over ice cubes in glasses and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
