Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small saucepan, pour in the apple cider and simmer over medium heat for about 15–20 minutes until it reduces to roughly ½ cup.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, sour cream, vanilla extract, and cooled reduced cider until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Gently fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients using a spatula until just combined.
  5. Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan and pour the batter, spreading it evenly.
  6. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 45–50 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  8. While warm, brush melted butter on top and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture.
