For the Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Celery Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Celery Seed Optional.
For the Cheese
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese Use sharp or mild.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Cook the ziti pasta in boiling salted water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  2. Finely dice the red onion, red bell pepper, and celery. Mix with celery salt and celery seed in a large bowl.
  3. Grate the carrot and add to the vegetable mix.
  4. Whisk together the sour cream and mayonnaise, add white sugar to taste.
  5. Combine the vegetable mixture with the dressing, then add cooled pasta.
  6. Fold in finely diced cheddar cheese until well mixed.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4-6 hours or ideally overnight before serving.
