Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add 1 chopped onion and 1 sliced bell pepper, cooking until softened, about 5–7 minutes.
- Add 1 pound of ribeye or ground beef to the skillet. Cook for 5–8 minutes until browned.
- Stir in 1 cup of provolone cheese until melted and well mixed.
- Slice the top third off the garlic bread loaf and hollow it out.
- Fill the hollowed loaf with the beef and cheese mixture.
- Wrap the stuffed loaf in aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Unwrap and bake uncovered for an additional 5–10 minutes to crisp the crust.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing to serve.
