Ingredients

  • 1 cup brewed coffee hot or cold
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1/4 cup cherry juice preferably 100% juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon sweetener of choice optional, adjust to taste
  • Ice if making iced version
  • Fresh cherries and whipped cream for garnish optional

Method

  1. Brew your coffee and set it aside to cool slightly if making an iced latte.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat the almond milk over medium heat until warm but not boiling. If you prefer a frothy latte, use a milk frother or whisk to froth the milk.
  3. In a large mug or glass, combine the brewed coffee, cherry juice, vanilla extract, and sweetener (if using). Stir well to mix.
  4. Slowly pour the warm almond milk into the coffee mixture, stirring gently to combine.
  5. For an iced version, fill a glass with ice before pouring in the coffee mixture, then add the frothed almond milk on top.
  6. Garnish with fresh cherries and whipped cream if desired.
