  • 2 cups Frozen Mixed Vegetables No need to thaw.
  • 1 medium Diced Onion Shallots or leeks can be used for variety.
  • Salt To taste.
  • Pepper To taste.
For Extra Creaminess
  • ½ cup Sour Cream Optional, can substitute with Greek yogurt.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Or use fresh minced garlic.
  • 1 cup Milk or Broth Adjust for consistency.
For Topping
  • 1 cup Extra Cheese Choose your favorite melting cheese.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes. Add the diced onion and sauté until softened, approximately 3 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Drain excess grease from the meat, then stir in the cream of mushroom soup, frozen mixed vegetables, and sour cream. Cool for about 10 minutes.
  3. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread the meat mixture evenly, top with shredded cheese, then arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer on top.
  4. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the casserole for 30-35 minutes until the tater tots are golden brown.
  5. Once baked, remove the casserole from the oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes
