Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 16-ounce package potato gnocchi
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Method

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  4. Stir in the beef broth, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Add the gnocchi to the skillet and cook according to package instructions, usually about 2-3 minutes, until they float to the top.
  6. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the shredded mozzarella cheese until melted and creamy.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
