  • 0.5 cups water filtered water enhances flavor
  • 1 bag Earl Grey tea substitute with flavored tea for a twist
  • 0.5 cups low-fat milk swap for almond or coconut milk for vegan
  • 0.5 cups rolled oats use certified gluten-free oats for gluten-free
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract maple syrup is a great alternative
  • 1-2 tablespoons sugar/sweetener adjust according to taste
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon use fresh ground for robust flavor
For Toppings (Optional)
  • 2 tablespoons sliced almonds adds crunch and nutty flavor
  • 1 tablespoon honey agave syrup works great for a vegan alternative

Method
 

Instructions for London Fog Latte Oatmeal
  1. In a medium saucepan, bring ½ cup of filtered water to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Once boiling, remove the saucepan from heat and add in 1 Earl Grey tea bag. Allow the tea to steep for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Discard the tea bag and return the saucepan to a low heat. Add ½ cup of low-fat milk and ½ cup of rolled oats.
  4. Increase the heat to medium-high and cook the oatmeal while stirring occasionally for about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Once thickened, remove from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and your choice of sugar or sweetener.
  6. Spoon the oatmeal into serving bowls and sprinkle with a dash of cinnamon. Drizzle extra milk on top if desired.
