  • 1 teaspoon Ground Turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder Adjust to preference
  • ½ teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon Ground Cardamom
  • ½ teaspoon Ground Cloves

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté chopped onion for about 5 minutes until softened.
  2. Stir in minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add spices to the skillet, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant, then transfer to the slow cooker.
  4. Combine sautéed aromatics with chicken, diced tomatoes, and chicken broth in the slow cooker. Mix well.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours. Check doneness around 4 hours.
  6. Once cooked, shred the chicken in the slow cooker and stir to mix with the sauce.
  7. Stir in heavy cream and butter, mixing well to create a creamy sauce. Let sit on low for 5-10 minutes.
  8. Taste and adjust seasonings if necessary. Allow to rest for an additional 10-15 minutes before serving.
  9. Serve over basmati rice or with naan, garnishing with fresh cilantro if desired.
