  • 2 tablespoons Plain/All-purpose Flour Replace with cornflour or cornstarch for gluten-free
  • 2 cups Beef Stock/Broth Chicken broth can be used for a lighter flavor

Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine paprika, dried thyme, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well-blended.
  3. Place chicken in a large baking pan, drizzle with olive oil, and rub the seasoning mix thoroughly onto the skin side.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the plain flour with half of the beef stock until smooth. Gradually mix in the remaining stock, then pour the gravy around the seasoned chicken.
  5. Transfer the baking pan into the preheated oven and bake uncovered for approximately 50 minutes until the skin is golden brown.
  6. Remove the pan from the oven, take out the chicken, and whisk the remaining gravy in the pan to smooth it out.
  7. Serve the Gravy Baked Chicken alongside the gravy and optional sides like creamy mashed potatoes.
