Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs preferably panko for extra crunch
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Method

  1. In a medium bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  2. In another bowl, beat the eggs until well combined.
  3. Place the breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
  4. Dip each chicken piece first into the flour mixture, shaking off excess, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Set aside on a plate.
  5. Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat until hot (about 350°F).
  6. Carefully add chicken nuggets to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Remove nuggets from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  8. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.
