Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish with butter.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Press into the baking dish and pre-bake for 15 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, and salt until smooth. Pour over the crust.
  4. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the filling is set but still jiggles slightly in the center.
  5. Allow to cool for at least 1 hour, then slice into squares. Optionally chill for cleaner cuts.
  6. Serve at room temperature or warm slightly in the microwave before enjoying.
