Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Melt the marshmallows by combining mini marshmallows and butter in a large pot over low heat. Stir continuously until completely melted and smooth.
  2. Remove the pot from heat and stir in the Rice Krispies using a spatula coated with cooking spray until evenly combined.
  3. Fold in chopped maraschino cherries and transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish, pressing it down firmly.
  4. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 15 seconds until smooth and glossy.
  5. Coat the cooled Rice Krispies squares in the melted chocolate or drizzle chocolate over them, then place them on a parchment-lined tray to harden.
  6. Once chocolate has set, serve immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature.
