Step-by-Step Instructions for Pumpkin Brownies
- Preheat your oven to 350℉ (175℃) and line a 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Prepare the brownie batter using the instructions on the brownie mix. Stir in chocolate chips.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add pumpkin puree, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Spread three-quarters of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan. Spoon the pumpkin mixture over the top.
- Drop spoonfuls of the remaining brownie batter on top and swirl the batters together with a knife.
- Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before lifting out and cutting into 16 squares.
