- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your muffin pans with paper liners.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate fudge cake mix, water or milk, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until fully combined.
- Fill each muffin liner about two-thirds full with the batter and bake for 14-19 minutes. Check doneness with a toothpick.
- Cool the cupcakes for 2-3 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Melt your milk chocolate chips and beat together with softened butter and cream cheese. Gradually blend in powdered sugar and cocoa.
- Crush Oreos in a food processor until resembling fine crumbs. Set aside for decorating.
- Once cool, frost the cupcakes with the chocolate cream cheese frosting, sprinkle crushed Oreos on top, and add gummy worms for decoration.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
