  • 1 baguette Baguette Fresh, sliced diagonally
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil For drizzling
For the Cheese Mixture
  • 8 ounces Goat Cheese Softened for easy spreading
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh Rosemary Chopped, optional
For the Topping
  • 1/2 cup Fig Jam Or raspberry/apricot jam
  • 1/2 cup Walnuts or Pecans Toasted
  • 1 Fresh Figs or Apples Optional, thinly sliced

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick pieces on a diagonal.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over each baguette slice to coat.
  4. Toast the baguette slices in the oven for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
  5. While the baguette is toasting, combine goat cheese, salt, pepper, and rosemary in a bowl.
  6. Allow toasted baguette slices to cool slightly.
  7. Spread the goat cheese mixture over each toasted baguette slice.
  8. Add a dollop of fig jam on top of the goat cheese.
  9. Sprinkle toasted walnuts or pecans over the fig jam.
  10. Optionally garnish with thin slices of fresh figs or apples.
