  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Softened for easy mixing
  • 1 can Rotel Diced Tomatoes and Green Chilies Drained well
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese Or substitute pepper jack or Monterey jack
For the Binding
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour Can substitute with almond or coconut flour
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh garlic can be used
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder Can substitute with fresh onion
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper Optional for extra heat

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese and ground sausage. Mix until blended into a smooth mixture.
  2. Add the drained Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies into the sausage mixture. Stir well until evenly distributed.
  3. Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese, ensuring it mixes well with the sausage and Rotel.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and optional cayenne pepper.
  5. Gradually fold the dry mixture into the sausage mixture until just blended.
  6. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
  7. Roll about 1 tablespoon of the mixture into a ball and place it on the baking sheet.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving with your favorite dipping sauces.
