- Begin by placing a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter and let it melt until it becomes bubbly and fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Crack 4 large eggs directly into the skillet, gently poke the yolks, and sprinkle spices, salt, and black pepper.
- Place 2 split English muffins cut-side down onto the uncooked eggs and cook for 2-3 minutes until lightly browned.
- Gently flip the entire egg-muffin assembly and place slices of cheese on top. Fold edges of eggs over muffins.
- Add remaining tablespoon of butter and toast sandwiches for about 2 minutes on each side until golden brown and cheese has melted.
- Carefully remove the sandwiches from the skillet and serve hot.
