Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions for Carob Juice
  1. Chop 2 cups of dried carob pods into small pieces and set aside.
  2. In a large pot, combine the chopped carob, ¼ cup of maple syrup, and 4 cups of water. Bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer for approximately 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of rose water, if desired.
  5. Let the mixture cool down to room temperature for about 15-20 minutes.
  6. Strain the cooled carob mixture into a large jug or pitcher using a muslin cloth.
  7. Chill the strained carob juice in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving over ice.
