  2. Melt butterscotch chips in a microwave-safe bowl at 50% power, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, melt salted butter and whisk in vanilla and imitation butter extract.
  4. Pour the melted butter mixture over the Rice Chex cereal in the bag, shake to coat, and add toffee bits.
  5. Spread the coated cereal on a cookie sheet and let it cool for about 20 minutes.
  6. Return to the bag, add powdered sugar, seal the bag, and shake until completely covered.
