Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter, then add 1 pound of ground beef. Sauté for about 6-8 minutes until browned.
  3. Season the beef with 1 teaspoon of onion powder, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Combine the cooked beef mixture with 2 cups of cooked white rice, 1 can of condensed French onion soup, and 1 cup of sour cream in a mixing bowl.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly into the greased baking dish and top with 1.5 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before garnishing with chopped parsley and serving.
