Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine softened butter and peanut butter. Beat with an electric mixer for about 2–3 minutes until smooth.
- Add granulated and brown sugars, and beat for another 2–3 minutes until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls. Place on baking sheets and crisscross with a fork.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are light golden brown. Remove and let cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
