Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  3. Spread the thawed hashbrowns evenly across the bottom of the baking dish.
  4. Layer the cooked and crumbled breakfast sausage over the hashbrowns.
  5. In a bowl, mix together the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses. Sprinkle half on top of the sausage.
  6. Whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Pour evenly over the layered ingredients.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining cheese mixture on top of the casserole.
  8. If desired, sprinkle diced bell peppers and onions on top.
  9. Bake for 45-50 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  10. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
