Cook the whole wheat pasta according to package instructions. Drain and rinse under cold water to cool. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, chicken, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red bell pepper, red onion, and parsley. Toss gently to combine.
In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
Pour the dressing over the pasta salad and toss until everything is well coated.
If using, sprinkle the feta cheese on top and gently mix it in.
Chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
