Ingredients

  • 2 packs 12 count each of ice cream sandwiches
  • 1 container 16 ounces of whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 1 cup of chocolate sauce
  • 1 cup of crushed chocolate cookies such as Oreos or chocolate wafers
  • 1 cup of mini chocolate chips

Method

  1. Arrange a single layer of ice cream sandwiches in a 9x13-inch baking dish, ensuring they fit tightly together.
  2. Evenly spread half of the whipped topping over the sandwiches, smoothing it out to create a uniform layer.
  3. Drizzle half of the chocolate sauce over the whipped topping, allowing it to cascade down the sides.
  4. Sprinkle half of the crushed cookies and half of the mini chocolate chips on top.
  5. Repeat the process by placing another layer of ice cream sandwiches on top, followed by the remaining whipped topping, chocolate sauce, crushed cookies, and mini chocolate chips.
  6. Add colorful sprinkles on the very top if desired.
  7. Cover the entire dish with plastic wrap and place it in the freezer for a minimum of 4 hours, or until it becomes solid.
  8. Once frozen, slice into squares and serve directly from the freezer.
