- Begin by prepping your ingredients. Chop onions and additional vegetables into small, even pieces. Dice the ham or bacon into bite-sized pieces.
- In your crock pot, layer frozen hash browns at the bottom, followed by your chosen meat, chopped onions, and additional veggies. Top with shredded cheddar cheese, repeating the layers until all ingredients are used.
- In a mixing bowl, crack and whisk the eggs, seasoning with salt, pepper, and desired spices. Make sure this is done well for uniform flavor.
- Carefully pour the whisked eggs evenly over the layered ingredients, using a spatula to gently stir the top layer to ensure even cooking.
- Cook on low for about 8 hours, allowing the eggs to set and the edges to turn golden.
- After cooking, let it rest for a few moments. Serve hot, optionally with toast, salsa, or coffee.
