Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Boil salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions, typically around 8-10 minutes. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Season shrimp with Old Bay seasoning and lemon juice. In a skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter and sauté shrimp for 2-3 minutes until pink. Set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat and add remaining butter with minced shallots. Cook for about 2 minutes until translucent. Add minced garlic and stir for 30 seconds.
  4. Deglaze with white wine, scraping up browned bits. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes until reduced.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and remaining Old Bay seasoning, mixing until melted and creamy, about 2-3 minutes. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
  6. Combine sautéed shrimp and parsley into the skillet. Add drained spaghetti and toss to coat evenly. Use reserved pasta water to adjust sauce consistency if needed.
  7. Serve the pasta with additional Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley. Enjoy!
