Method

Step-by-Step Instructions for OREO Bat Cookie Ball Pops
  1. Begin by finely crushing 9 OREO cookies using a food processor or a zip-top bag with a rolling pin until you achieve a uniform crumb. Set aside, break the remaining OREO cookies in half for bat wings.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed OREO cookies with softened cream cheese. Mix until smooth, then shape into 12 equal balls.
  3. Melt a small amount of semi-sweet baking chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Dip one end of each lollipop stick in the melted chocolate and insert into each cookie ball.
  4. Line a baking sheet with wax paper and place the cookie balls on it. Freeze for about 10 minutes to firm up.
  5. Melt more semi-sweet baking chocolate, then dip each cookie ball into the melted chocolate until fully covered.
  6. Trim the edges of the cookie halves to create flat ends. Dip the flat ends in melted chocolate and press onto the sides of each cookie ball as bat wings.
  7. Use mini candy button eyes and white decorating icing to create faces on the bat pops. Get creative with additional decorations!
  8. Refrigerate the decorated pops for about an hour to allow the chocolate coating to set completely.
