Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • 1/4 cup fresh peach slices or 1/4 cup canned peaches, drained
  • 1/4 cup honey or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish optional

Method
 

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the dried hibiscus flowers. Let steep for 10 minutes.
  3. Strain the hibiscus tea into a pitcher, discarding the flowers.
  4. While the tea is still warm, stir in the honey until fully dissolved.
  5. Add the fresh peach slices and vanilla extract to the pitcher.
  6. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  7. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
