Equipment

Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Blueberry Iced Tea
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups of fresh blueberries, 1 cup of granulated sugar, 2 cups of water, and the juice from ½ a lemon. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat, then reduce to medium-low and let it simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Once the syrup has simmered, carefully remove the saucepan from heat. Place a fine mesh strainer over a bowl and pour the syrup through it to separate the liquid from the blueberry pulp. Discard the pulp and set the strained syrup aside to cool.
  3. In a 2.5-quart pitcher, combine 6 cups of cold water with 3-4 family-sized cold brew tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for about 5 minutes, depending on how strong you prefer the flavor.
  4. After the tea has steeped to your liking, carefully remove the tea bags. Pour the cooled blueberry syrup into the pitcher with the tea, stirring gently until the syrup is fully incorporated.
  5. Fill tall glasses with ice and pour the freshly made Blueberry Iced Tea over the ice. Garnish with extra blueberries or a lemon slice.
