  • 0.5 cup Parmesan Cheese shaved

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes and chili flakes, allowing to simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Add drained pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat with sauce. Gradually add reserved pasta water until the sauce is silky.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
  6. Plate pasta and top with fresh basil leaves and optional chili flakes.
