Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together white miso paste, mirin, sake, soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and freshly grated ginger until smooth.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or resealable bag and pour the marinade over them.
  3. Preheat your oven's broiler to high and adjust the rack to be 6 inches from the heat source.
  4. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly coat it with cooking spray or oil.
  5. Remove the salmon from the marinade and place the fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Broil the salmon for 8-10 minutes until the top is golden brown and slightly charred.
  7. Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes before garnishing.
