Cooking Instructions
- Coat the Thinly Sliced Beef with a generous layer of cornstarch to ensure each piece is well-coated for a crispy texture. Set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat about 2 tablespoons of vegetable or canola oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef in batches, searing for 3-4 minutes until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, lower the heat and add minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Do not burn the garlic.
- Whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, and water or broth in a bowl. Add this to the skillet with garlic and ginger and bring to a gentle simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Return the seared beef to the skillet, tossing gently in the sauce for 1-2 minutes until evenly coated.
- Stir in cut green onions and let soften for about 1 minute. Remove from heat.
- Serve the Sizzling Mongolian over cooked rice or noodles. Optionally, sprinkle with sesame seeds and chili flakes.
