Method

Cooking Instructions
  1. Coat the Thinly Sliced Beef with a generous layer of cornstarch to ensure each piece is well-coated for a crispy texture. Set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat about 2 tablespoons of vegetable or canola oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef in batches, searing for 3-4 minutes until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, lower the heat and add minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Do not burn the garlic.
  4. Whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, and water or broth in a bowl. Add this to the skillet with garlic and ginger and bring to a gentle simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Return the seared beef to the skillet, tossing gently in the sauce for 1-2 minutes until evenly coated.
  6. Stir in cut green onions and let soften for about 1 minute. Remove from heat.
  7. Serve the Sizzling Mongolian over cooked rice or noodles. Optionally, sprinkle with sesame seeds and chili flakes.
