Cooking Steps
  1. Prep the Chicken: Place chicken breasts or thighs at the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. Add Vegetables: Layer onion, carrots, celery, and garlic over the chicken.
  3. Season: Sprinkle thyme, parsley, salt, and pepper over layers.
  4. Add Broth: Pour in enough chicken broth to cover layers completely.
  5. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Shred Chicken: About 30 mins before serving, shred chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  7. Return Chicken: Add shredded chicken, peas, and cream back to the slow cooker.
  8. Make Dumplings: Cut biscuit dough into quarters and drop on top of mixture.
  9. Final Cooking: Cook on high for another 30-45 minutes until dumplings are fluffy.
  10. Serve: Ladle into bowls and enjoy warm!
