Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 bell pepper diced (any color)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 head of butter or romaine lettuce leaves separated
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions for garnish
  • 1/4 cup shredded carrots for garnish

Method
 

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and diced bell pepper, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until softened.
  4. Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  5. Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sriracha, ground ginger, and sesame oil. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. To serve, spoon the beef mixture into individual lettuce leaves. Top with chopped green onions and shredded carrots.
