Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat oven according to cake mix instructions, typically around 350°F. Prepare cake mix by combining eggs, oil, and water, mixing until smooth. Pour batter into greased pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until clean toothpick. Allow to cool fully.
  2. Crumble cooled cake into fine crumbs in a bowl. Gradually add frosting, mixing until a dough-like consistency forms. Ensure crumbs are evenly coated.
  3. Roll cake mixture into 1-inch balls and chill in refrigerator for 1-2 hours or freezer for 30 minutes.
  4. Melt a handful of candy melts in a bowl. Dip one end of lollipop sticks into melted candy and insert into each chilled cake ball. Chill again for 10 minutes.
  5. Melt remaining candy melts for dipping. Dip each cake pop, rotating to coat and tap off excess candy.
  6. While coating is wet, add sprinkles, candy eyeballs, and more decorations quickly.
  7. Stand cake pops upright in Styrofoam or cake pop stand to let coating set for 15-20 minutes at room temperature or 10 minutes in the fridge.
