Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 slider buns
  • 1 ripe avocado sliced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle sauce or to taste
  • 1 cup lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomatoes optional

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined, but do not overwork the meat.
  2. Divide the turkey mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the turkey patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the chipotle mayo by mixing the mayonnaise and chipotle sauce in a small bowl. Adjust the spice level to your preference.
  5. Toast the slider buns in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the sliders by spreading a generous amount of chipotle mayo on the bottom half of each bun. Add a turkey patty, a slice of avocado, lettuce, and tomato if desired. Top with the other half of the bun.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious turkey sliders!
